MapMaking with Timna Tarr

Mapmaking" (also called Map Making with Fabrics) is a popular quilting workshop taught by Timna Tarr, an award-winning art quilter from South Hadley, Massachusetts. Timna is well-known for her colorful, improvisational quilts, including a series of map quilts inspired by real places like her hometown, historic canal systems, and personal locations. She also designs fabrics and authored the book Stitched Photo Mosaic Quilting.

Kicks off with a special guest, Scott Fortunoff, president of Jaftex Fabrics. Scott will be interviewed by our new member Amy at the beginning of the meeting.
We will have a board check in.
We will be passing around a sign up sheet for the May Potluck next month.

Programming will discuss the Something in the Air Challenge due in June and the The Up-cycle Round Robin starting in June. Looking to gauge interest in a zoom workshop with Rachel Derstine, Keep It Simple, but Pack a Punch a class that will involve mostly improv quilting without a ruler.
